Spending the holidays in a tropical paradise such as Grand Cayman may be different from the winter wonderlands you’re used to, but there’s still plenty of Yuletide ways to enjoy your days. Review some of the fabulous holiday events happening throughout December on Grand Cayman for a season of memories you’ll treasure always.

Cayman Singing Christmas Tree

Treat yourself to a holiday event like no other in the Caribbean. The Cayman Singing Christmas Tree on Sunday, December 1st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm is a concert and show depicting the birth of Jesus using a 25-foot tree! Choir members fill the tree from top to bottom, singing carols that start the holiday season off right. There’s also an orchestra. This year’s event will include local and international artists. The jaw-dropping tree features some 5,000 lights. Find the holiday wonder at the Lions Centre on Crew Road in Georgetown.

A Playhouse Family Christmas

Take the kiddies to The Prospect Playhouse on Sunday, December 1st for a family-friendly holiday show from the Cayman Drama Society. Grizz and Frizz, a “cat and mouse” duo, star in this Christmas extravaganza. Shows on December 1st as well as the 8th start at 4:00 pm, while shows on December 6th and 7th begin at 7:30pm. Tickets cost KYD $15 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under. Get your tickets ahead of time to secure your spot!

Cayman National’s Parade Of Lights

Experience an annual holiday event on Grand Cayman blending the best of the tropics with traditional holiday fun. The Cayman National’s Parade of Lights includes a Christmas concert, fireworks display, and boat parade. Boats twinkle with holiday lights to provide a spectacular glow from The Harbour, and that’s in addition to a visit from Santa Claus and amazing holiday markets. Happening Saturday, December 7th at Camana Bay from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, this year’s theme is “Christmas treats.”

National Trust Christmas Lights Bus Tour

See the best of Grand Cayman’s holiday lights by joining the National Trust’s Christmas Lights Bus Tour. You’ll visit traditional and modern homes decked out for the holidays while singing Christmas carols. Tickets for National Trust members cost KYD $25, while non-member tickets cost KYD $30 and tickets for children between 5 and 11 cost KYD $15. The holiday light tour happens Friday, December 20th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and starts at the National Trust, South Sound.
